A tear streaked cheek, as you silently weep
The pain within so deep, you struggle to sleep
Reflecting in the mirror the shadows of history
Peeking at me, courageous in her vulnerability
Looking at his feet, tattered shoes that speaks to me
Dirty nails and calloused hands
The pungent smell of urine and faeces
Homeless he stands ready to reach out to your hands
Raging emotions a mothers eternal devotion
Evading the shadows illuminated by the light
Persecuted by others judgement, unknowing of her special needs
Embracing it all, she stands tall in defeat, always ensuring her child is within her reach
Empathise and see
Listen and be within reach
Dance with kindness and feel with love
Beauty to me, is within, our humanity . . .

Striking poetry,
My favorite stanza starts with: “Raging emotions a mothers eternal devotion…”
More of this I say. Hail Chevone
